Fresh, green vegetables in your daily diet can add plenty of nutrients to your body. An easy way to add variety of vegetables to your meal is through a homemade vegetable soup. In this recipe, I will describe how to make an easy, homemade, delicious vegetable soup.


Taking vegetable soup during pregnancy will boost your nutrients and support fetal growth. It will also be a wonderful addition to your lactation meal if you are a feeding mom.

Nowadays feeding a toddler with vegetables is becoming the toughest job in the world. This soup can in fact hide the vegetables from your toddler’s eyes and still make them get all the benefits of veggies.

Thus a vegetable soup is just simply perfect for anyone.

I have specified some common veggies which can be used in the soup. You can add any vegetable of your choice or even spinach based on your taste preference and needs. Just make sure which vegetables will suit you or your toddlers and avoid the once which might have any allergic reaction.

Instructions
  1. Cut all the vegetables into thin slices.

  2. Grind all the ingredients mentioned under 'To Grind' into a fine paste.

  3. Take all the vegetables, toor dhal or moong dhal, grounded paste in a pressure cooker.
  4. Add water, salt, turmeric powder and coriander leaves.

  5. Pressure cook upto 8-10 minutes.

  6. Transfer the contents of the pressure cooker into a jar and smash it with a blender.

  7. Filter the pulp and extract the soup.

Tips

  • At the end if you feel the soup needs to be more spicy, you can add some grounded pepper as required.
  • You can personalize this recipe by adding any other vegetable of your choice or even spinach.
